Terms & Conditions

The following general payment terms are applicable for all transactions concerning the registration between JLAPYB and every person / institution willing to participate at the Latin American Police & Fire Games.

 

PAYMENT TERMS

 

1) The registration fee has to be paid in full, at the time of on-line registration, or in cash at the accreditation office just before to compete. No partial payments can be accepted. Walk-up registrations at the Host hotel will be required to pay a late fee.

 

2) The registration is non-reimbursable. It will be the individuals responsibility to ensure that they will be able to attend and compete in the competition.

 

EXCEPTIONS: refunds will be allowed ONLY if the Games are cancelled 

 

3) Payments shall be made in the currency agreed to, and without any deduction , or adjustement  within seven (7) days of the issue date of the tax invoice. Other payment schedules must be done in writing. If not, registration will be canceled.

4) Displayed prices are fixed prices in € ( euros )

5) Registration fee is non negotiable

6) Cheques will not be accepted

 

 

PROTECTING PERSONAL LIFE AND PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

If you did your inscription, you can request your data and correct it, or refuse to allow us to use your data. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

 

Should any disputes arise between the parties concerning the agreement, the courts of the judicial district of Brussels, will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear the case.

 

The agreement between the parties is governed by Belgian law.

 

LIABILITY

 

AITP / Juegos Latinoamericanos Policias y Bomberos (JLAPYB) cannot under any circumstances be held liable for any losses suffered directly or indirectly (loss of use, loss of opportunity etc.) arising out of using the sites or of their being unavailable. It cannot be held liable for any damage to the customer’s systems incurred through visiting the sites including being hacked or computer viruses.

 

AITP / Juegos Latinoamericanos Policias y Bomberos (JLAPYB) cannot be held liable for any errors which may be in photographs or text used in describing products on sites.

 

AITP / Juegos Latinoamericanos Policias y Bomberos (JLAPYB) cannot be held liable during the event for reasons beyond our control, including circumstances of force majeure, including disturbances of / or suspension of transport, post or communications services, in the case of flood or fire.

AITP / JLAPYB uses industry-standard tools, such as firewalls and Secure Socket Layers, to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information. We make every effort to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

 

In addition, we always use a secure connection when collecting personal financial information from you and conform to PCI standards. All forms which request credit card or bank details use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol for encryption. Most web browsers (e.g. Microsoft Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.) support SSL. The link between your web browser and the server is secure if your web browser displays a small padlock or key symbol somewhere in the frame, or the address bar shows a web address beginning  https:// (rather than http://)

 

 WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA ? 

 

AITP / JLAPYB will never sell your data to any other organisation. AITP / JLAPYB also never shares or swaps your data with another organisation. Only we and the organisating commity have access to your data.

 

Within AITP / JLAPYB, only those authorised to process your data can access your data. We work hard to ensure our staff and volunteers can only see the data they need to perform their tasks. All our staff are trained to understand data protection and what they need to do to keep your data secure.

– Keeping you updated of eventual changes.
